ELF Wishlist! & catch up!

woooooo! school holidays are finally here :) im literally bursting of excitement for the next two weeks away from school! i have still got an absolute tump of work to be done, but knowing that i can do it at my own pace gives me a lot more chill out time!  so normally, each year when easter comes im the fatest and greediest of all my family and ask for a million eggs and sweets, but this year im being a total bore! and haven't asked for one! im so in to my gym routine now i need to start cutting back on all the crap and eating healthy! its so hard when your stressed and surrounded by biscuits in school! so instead this year i've asked for money, as money is the bain of my life right now! i just seems to be gone within seconds of receiving my weekly pay packets!  however last sunday i went shopping with my friend and her mam, and my intention was to get the 10:30 train in and be home by 3! i wanted new look, river island, primark, and possibly a browse at trainers in a sportshop... but my reality was getting into cardiff at 1, and not getting to newlook till 4:30!!! theres reasons why i like shopping alone... on the plus side i did manage to purchase the dress ive had my eye on for the past couple of weeks:) yay!! i'll do a post later on this.  anyways enough of my babble and on to the purpose of this post!

so being the poor teenager that i am, wishlist seem to be all my online shopping ever comes to at the moment! meghhh. but im hoping that my pay this week will stretch to a couple of necessities from my favourite make-up brand! E.L.F,  i've been a huge fan of ELF for a good few years now, and have only ever had one faulty item, & trust me i've tried many! but im noticing a few essential on their last legs and need a replacement..
here's some of my wishlist....

all of these product i have used before except for the bronzing powder!  these items i literally use everyday,  the all over cover saint has been my best friend since my first purchase back in 2009! i think im still using the same stick, it lasts forever!! i would seriously recommend this to anybody that needs to cover those little blemishes and icky spots bleghh!  also eyelahes are my current addiction and have been since last summer, my everyday routine consists of apply these little beauties, they make such a huge difference to your eyes and make your face kind of pop! i use these everyday without fail (well except for possibly a sunday, sleepies!)  i think you can probably guess that im going to rave about everything now and how amazing it all is, but im not going to bore you with it :) but please take a look at the website, its just soo cheap!! this wish list came to a grand total of, £19.50, pretty impressive!!  any of you girlie wirlie woos, have any beauty brand secrets or tips??

Monet-esq nails :)

french white, rimmel 60 second, barryM in various colours, rimmel Pro, Models Own x2, & Elf.

When i came across Ugly Duckling's  blog, and found these nails, i couldn't help but try them out for myself! as much as i love them i didn't want to blatantly copying them.  so i put my my own little glitter obsessive twist on them ( like most other nails of mine... ) but still so simple too do!:) happy days.

hopefully this will be one of my better nail tutorials as i actually remembered to take some pictures as i went along this time, even if it was 1am this morning/last night?!  so enough of my babbling let me show you how to these Monet-esq nails :)

start with a double base coat of Mint Green BarryM Nail Paint. easy bit done :) then grab a make-up sponge and a pair of tweezers, got them ? simply rip off small sections of the make-up sponge with the tweezers, and keep it safe!  i used Models Own Fuzzy Peach, Rimmel Pro Pink and BarryM Lilac for the flowers.  so grab that little piece of sponge and dip it into your chosen nail paint, then simply dab rough circular shapes on you nails and allow to dry.  repeat this on all of your claws until you get your desired pattern :) i added a little bit of shading with darker toned polishes using the same effect but smaller sponge :) then comes the fun bit, sparkleees :)  same technique but with a green glitter polish, if you haven't got a glitter a matte polish will work just as well! even more reason for the last coat of glitter if you haven't used a glitter green, to add that extra sparkle!:) and bobs your teapot, you've got Monet inspired nails, what do you think ?

Wednesday

all things pretty :)

for my first proper attempt of fruity nails at 1:00am last night i don't think these are half bad in all fairness!  there are some messy ones but please don't judge too harshly :)

so basically these nails are super simple to do! if i had thought about it whilst i was doing them i would have taken step by step photos, but i don't think of these things in the moment :) anyways! simply two coats of Models Own Fuzzy Peach, leave to dry and then apply one coat of Models Own Juicy Jules.  Carefully then  paint a thin line of Models Own Emerald City along the tip of you nail (basically like a french tip:) ) then i used E.L.F Dark Navy for the seed like pips using a cocktail stick (ideally a nail art pen would be best!!) but cocktails sticks will do for the lesser pro's amongst us!:) boom bobs your teapot! Watermelon-esq nails:)  anyone got any more fruity nail art ideas for me to try? im thinking of possibly doing some candy stripes next...

Eylure Lash Fix Review..

When an urgency, become and emergency savers is the place to go!  Running out of eyelash glue at 7:30am probably isn't most convenient time for this to happen, but nevertheless it did :( litterally using up the last of the gooey mess, meant a desperate need for eyelash glue! i didn't care where from, how much but i needed it, PRONTO!

Within the past 6 months i have become completely addicted to wearing falsies daily.  im still not sure to this day where the compulsion has come from, but i cannot go anywhere without them on, even school! well you know when someone who constantly wears glasses takes them off + they look a tidge bare? thats how i feel when i take of my eyelashes. i've tried several brands within the past few months and e.l.f dramtic Lash Kit come out on top everytime! and at only £1.50 per pair (and most other products) and £2.95 delivery,  you can't not cave in and make an order! such good value for money, and i've been using their products for year and only had one faulty item :)

Back to the review: This Eylure Lash Fix was the first that i came across, at only £2.19 for 6ml, it was a must buy, and well worth the money!  i never realised how far a 6ml tube of eyelash glue would go, theres tonnes of it!!  (definately worth the mad panic into town this afternoon)  i've always used Eylure glue in the past but only the little tubes that come with the strip lashes, and compare to the icky e.l.f eyelash glue i've been using recently its the cleanest and easiest to apply eyelash glue i've ever come across! would definately recommend it to friends, and totally worth the £2.19 price tag. smiles all round :D
